The product

How do I analyze my golf swing with just a phone?

Film one swing with your phone — face-on or down-the-line, normal speed, whole body in frame — and upload it to AnchorStance. In about two minutes it rebuilds your body in interactive 3D, tracks your club, and measures 20+ swing metrics against tour ranges. No sensors, no launch monitor, no second camera.

What golf swing metrics does AnchorStance measure?

Across setup, backswing, transition, impact and tempo: spine angle, X-factor (shoulder–hip separation), hip sway, lead knee angle, stance width, early extension, swing tempo (backswing-to-downswing ratio) and more. Every metric is shown against its ideal range and labelled measured or estimated, so you always know how much to trust a number.

Do I need sensors, a launch monitor, or special equipment?

No. AnchorStance works from a single ordinary phone video. Computer vision reconstructs your body in 3D and tracks the club directly from the footage — the same clip you would already film at the range.

How should I film my golf swing for the best analysis?

Film at normal speed (not slow motion), in good light, with your whole body and club in frame from address to finish. Face-on (camera in front, square to your chest) works best; down-the-line (camera behind, looking at the target) is also supported. A tripod or a friend holding the phone at hip height is ideal.

What is early extension in golf and how do I fix it?

Early extension is when your hips move toward the ball on the downswing instead of rotating, forcing your upper body to stand up through impact — a top cause of blocks and hooks. AnchorStance detects it automatically, shows you the exact frames, and attaches drills like the chair drill to your Fix List so you can retire it with clean swings.

Is there a free golf swing analysis?

Yes — your first Premium 3D swing analysis is free, no card required. After that you can subscribe ($40/month or $400/year for 100 analyses a month) or pay as you go with credits at $2 per swing.

How is AnchorStance different from golf apps that give a swing score?

A 0–100 score never told anyone how to swing better, so AnchorStance does not show one. Instead, every measurement sits against its ideal range — in range, close, or needs work — and the analysis leads with the one fix that matters most. Progress is earned as consistency Levels across many swings, not one lucky number.

Does AnchorStance work for left-handed golfers?

Yes. You set your handedness once at onboarding (changeable in Settings) and every metric, camera angle and drill is labelled for your lead and trail side correctly.

Is there an AnchorStance mobile app for iOS or Android?

Native iOS and Android apps are coming soon. Today AnchorStance runs fully in your phone or desktop browser — film with your phone, upload, and get the complete 3D analysis at anchorstance.com. Your account and swing history will carry over to the apps when they launch.
